Today we have a special guest blogger, Lindsay Snyder. Besides being one of my best friends, Lindsay is a beautiful soul with a knack for food! (see why I keep her around...smile). Truly she embodies the phrase "food for your soul." You can follow her blog at www.lindsaysoulfood.wordpress.com
This strawberry pie is my most recent masterpiece. My own piece of art, and it was delicious!
My name is Lindsay. I love to cook and bake. It's always been a favorite past time of mine. Just being in the kitchen provides such a creative outlet for me.
I'm not sure when my love for food started. I think it's always been there and I know it's always been growing, especially this past year. I didn't realize how significant cooking, baking and creating was for me until I was unable to do it these past few weeks. I was busy, I'd been traveling and was unable to get into the kitchen. I really missed it. I was finally able to get back into the kitchen today, which is why I created this pie, and it felt like I was home. When I am creating in this way, it just feels right.
For me, it all brings great joy to my soul. I believe this is the way God's created me. I love getting to plan and prepare new dishes. I also enjoy getting to bless others with what I create. More than anything, this is what truly brings me the most joy, allowing others to be blessed by the work of my hands.
A few months ago I decided to create a blog. It's called soul food. (www.lindsaysoulfood.wordpress.com)
I created it because I want to share my adventures on this journey with food with others in hopes of both inspiring and encouraging. I encourage you to take a peek at my blog. I hope you like it!
p.s. the recipe is on Lindsay Lou's blog
